About Heather

Heather’s concept of art and being an artist is constantly evolving with skill and practise
Heather Metcalfe-Griffith graduated from St. Lawrence College in 1981 with a diploma in Fine Arts. She then completed a certificate in ceramics and received a Bachelor in Arts and Science from Queen’s University. She has participated in various art shows throughout her career as an artist.
Heather’s concept of art is constantly evolving with skill and practise. She enjoys working in acrylics, watercolours and mixed media. Her artwork benefits from a lifetime of working to enhance the lives of people with special needs, nurturing animals and being surrounded by nature on her farm.
In 2011, Heather opened Heather’s Studio, in Smiths Falls, Ontario. Her goal is to offer a creative space where people of all ages can enjoy making art. She offers her years of experience and education through art instruction and art supplies. Heather’s Studio also showcases her own gallery of artwork for sale.
Heather resides at Motts Mills with husband William where they operate a 400-acre farm raising cows and horses.
